Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
Zeroness is an email app that works with Gmail and Google Workspace accounts, made by Applied Crew, Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what data Zeroness accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, who it is shared with and how to delete it.
Google data Zeroness accesses
When you connect a Google account, you choose to grant Zeroness these permissions through Google's consent screen:
- Gmail (gmail.modify): read, search, label, archive, star, mark read or unread, move to trash, and send messages and drafts in your mailbox.
- Basic profile (openid, email, profile): your email address, name and profile photo, to identify your account.
How we use it
Only to provide the features you see in Zeroness: showing and searching your mail, sorting it into splits, sign-in code detection, reminders and snoozes, summaries, answering questions you ask about your mail, and drafting replies that you review and send. Zeroness never sends mail without your action, and never permanently deletes mail.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Zeroness's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features of Zeroness.
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
- We transfer Google user data to others only as needed to provide these features (the AI provider and hosting provider below), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
- No person at Zeroness reads your email unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is needed for security or abuse investigations, or the law requires it.
Where your data is stored
iPhone app: your mail is stored in a local database on your device. Web app: a copy of your mail and your OAuth tokens are stored in Zeroness's database on our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, United States) so the inbox loads instantly and syncs in the background. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
AI processing
For AI features, the relevant parts of a thread are sent to OpenAI's API to produce a summary, classification or draft, and the result is returned to Zeroness. OpenAI processes this data under API terms that prohibit using it to train their models; it may retain inputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and then deletes them. You can turn auto drafts off in Settings.
What else we collect
Your account email, subscription status and crash reports. No advertising trackers. Remote images in mail load through Zeroness so senders don't see your IP address, and known tracking pixels are removed.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is connected. When you remove an account in Zeroness, its cached mail, AI outputs and tokens are deleted from our database within 7 days. You can also revoke Zeroness's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or email sai@appliedcrew.com to delete your account and everything we hold; we complete requests within 7 days.
Children
Zeroness is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here with a new effective date and notify you in the app for material changes. Questions: sai@appliedcrew.com, Applied Crew, Inc., 1111 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94607.
